I’ve never been too good at math, but…

Anyone out there who watched this travesty knows what’s up. It’s not rocket science. Sure, we had an actual honest to goodness goal disallowed. Sure the linesman was wrong. These things happen. They happen to every team at least once a season. You just have to roll with the bad calls and dig a little deeper. Today’s problem wasn’t the linesman. It’s the same problem we’ve had for a long,
longtime. We had 30 shots on net but only 6 of them were on target.
6 on target. Let’s think about this for just a brief moment (since I’m not going to want to talk about this for long without throwing this laptop across the room). That’s only 20% of our shots. If I only get 20% of my answers right on a test, I failed. Horribly.
You can say the linesman was a <insert expletive of your choosing>. You can say the Potters just packed the box and never came forward. You can say Fernando isn’t 100% match ready. You can say I’m a fuckin’ turncoat whiny bitch. You could say that, but it dosen’t make me wrong. 6 shots made it on net? Ruminate on that for a bit. If the ball dosen’t hit the net, there`s no way it`s going in.
In other news, Chel$ki and Man Yoo couldn`t find a winner which means we could of been up at the top all by our lonesome had we beat Stoke. Lowly, lowly Stoke.

I do agree at the very poor conversion rate for liverpool over the weekend, however we have had a poor conversion rate for a while now.
Over the last few years there have been stats which have put Liverpool at the top of the attempted shots list over the whole season so at the very least we are getting the opportunities to get into scoring positions.
There were a few chances where we could/should have won the game on the weekend.
1. Stevie’s dissallowed goal in the first few minutes
2. Keane’s chance in the first half which he hit straight to the keeper.
3. Torre’s header in the second half which just went wide.
4. Keane’s tame shot in the second half (which the keeper saved diving to his left).
On the positive side, for all of you doomsayers out there, we are still in 3rd with only 6 games to have been played. The win against United hasn’t won us the title and the draw against Stoke hasn’t lost us the title. There is still a long way to go and i feel there is much more quality and depth in the squad this year than in previous seasons.
Keep the faith, believe we can achieve.

Chris, this is my math:
Liverpool’s formation: 4-4-2
Stoke’s formation: 11-0-0
(that sneaky Pulis bloke!)
Stoke’s corners: 3
Liverpool’s corners: To infinity and beyond…
