It’s not like I live on the street…

So....uhhhh....Plan B then?
I guess brash over confidence isn’t the key to winning games after all. Watching the Everton “faithful” go absolutely bonkers after that Aussie prick levelled has to be one of the most gut wrenching feelings I’ve experienced in quite some time.

What started off so brightly ended, once again, in points thrown away. There’s no other way to describe it really, the game was there for the taking. A positive formation with Keane & Torres starting up front, Gerrard and Alonso in the midfield…I guess I’m not singing anymore.

Draws, upon draws, upon draws. There’s nothing worse to kill a season than poor home form. With only 6 home wins all season, this is one major concern. Sitting back on a one goal lead is absolutely disastrous in this league and the Bitters proved it tonight, snatching a draw from the brink of defeat.

Nice try Philly...
There’s no plausible explanation really. Stevie had silenced the “travelling” support with a fantastic 25+ yard strike in the 67th minute and the game looked ready to be wrapped up. In all fairness, both halves were quite poor by our standards but the 2nd looked much better than the first. Torres had spurned an excellent first half chance with only Timmy Howard to beat as the ball agonizingly struck the outside of the post. Our strike partnership looked less than convincing but with the amount of time they’ve had to play together, this was to be expected. It might take time to learn to play together but this was the penultimate day for them to form a bond. A chance to get back on top wasted. Absolutely wasted. We might be level with ManYoo on points, but they also have a game in hand. Scary prospect and much like Fernando predicted, the title could be decided when the two teams meet in mid-March.

Hand me the rake, pour favour...
I didn’t count or anything but the amount of times Rafa said “look at the positives” in his post match press conference was disheartening. At a time when we need him to light a blowtorch under some players asses, he’s sitting back like it’s December again. It’s likely I’m just venting my frustration (as we all do from time to time) and I’ll regret saying this in the morning (Scotch on the rocks anyone?) but he’s beginning to frustrate me to no end. Sign the fuckin’ contract and let’s get on with things. Show a little heart. Show a little passion. Show some fuckin’ emotion already. I laugh at Chelsea fans for complaining about their teams results but here I am doing the same. Fuckin’ hell, I’m out of ice.

In other news, slash my face out with a rusty rake.

to be quite honest, i’m surprised it wasn’t Xabi who did it .. he’s due to give up a horrible foul in a dangerous position ..

Condolences. As someone who watched my own team piss away the league last spring through dropping points to crap teams, I know how agonizing it is.

While my heart’s with you guys (if it’s not going to be Arsenal, I’d rather it be Liverpool than ManYoo or Chel$ki), you just have that sinking feeling that ManYoo are going to do it yet again…
